I remember my mom making this for me to take to school picnics. I remember munching on these cookies in the evening when the rest of the family drinks tea. I remember helping my mom shape the naankatts before placing them in the oven. Such sweet memories. I LOVE these cookies. These are THE BEST!!!
2 cups flour (maida)
1 cup unsalted butter (clarified butter)
3/4th or 1 cup powdered sugar (depending on your sweet tooth)
Mix the ingredients. Make small round shapes. Bake in oven at 300° for 15-20 minor until the biscuits are firm. ie; Not too soft. Not too hard. Make sure they don’t burn though.
The instant I mention that I’m making naankatts, I can see the house slowly filling up! 😀 It’s a great easy recipe. Tastiest cookies EVER!
